Controlled madness is not enough to win a basketball, but as I watched the first 10 minutes of USA versus China, I see something right away. Our outside shooting is not even adequate, but going inside we have a huge advantage, that if our superstars don't mind getting an elbow in the face as they go in for the dunk or the lay-up. The Chinese have better 3 point shooters and our weakness there and at the foul line will hurt us. It appears to be each team is attacking the other with a kind of controlled madness, the steal attempts, the body presence that USA has over China, we need to use that advantage. China has an excellent zone coverage if you will to force outside shots but we must bust in there with elbows flying too, bruise them a little and they may back off a little, not much. We can win this game against China but not easily. Go inside USA and keep going inside and control the boards of course and the game is yours to win!
