WINGS CLIPPED

If you know anything about chickens, the first thing you do with a vibrant chicken who likes to fly, namely out of the pen, is to clip their wings. You don't chop their wings off, just clip them in the places where you need to so that the chicken loses that 'heavenly' ability to soar if you will. Last night, in the game of hockey, the Red Wings finally had their wings clipped by a bird who can't even fly at all really, meaning in the practical word...a penguin, or should I say penguins? In any case, the wings gave it everything they had, they threw the kitchen sink at the Penguins and those persistent Penguins were a veritable tour de force, and they threw the kitchen sink back in the lap of their foes. Indeed, the wings played a good game, an unforgettable series, incredible see-saw battle...but as they describe the scenario basically they ran out of gas. Really that over-simplifies the matter. The Red Wings are a class A, number 1 team in many respects, and deserve laud and honor for their fighting spirit and talent, though waning in 2009. In a word, it was the Penguins turn to soar, and the wing-clippers they would have been, could not keep Crosby and company from their appointed conquest. The Wings have no bananas today.

SLEEPING OUTDOORS, OR IS IT 'OUT OF DOORS'?

It's getting sadder and badder in American when you walk to your usual morning bus stop to buy your usual groceries or whatever, and right across the road from the quiet place you live, you come upon two bodies (supposedly warm, but I didn't stop to check) of 2 men who had decidedly to make their 'bed' for the night or morning if you will (0830) in a concrete gulley in a fieldside tall grassy area near my abode. I, of course, gave them a wide berth and quietly walked around them, knowing what it is like to be homeless, I understand...you just sleep when you can and where you can. This is life in America as we are just beginning to know it. It's not just the men I'm concerned about. Women tend to get employment, however limited that may be, but I am thinking about the day when women seek to marry not for any love interest or even sexual needs, but simply put necessity, as in 'please take away my reproach.'  They become more vulnerable and terrified even in the sense of being totally strung out and so they will seek a respectable man to give them 'a name' if you will, protection, and food and shelter. God knows how many respectable and honorable men are still out there and will not take advantage of these people. We need camps, call them homeless camps if you want. To our county commissioners and authorities, governors, I say, for God's sake, mobilize the National Guard and do something 'right' about the homeless, and stop insisting homeless people attend stupid meetings to 'prove' their existence. While you hold your meetings they are sleeping because they only have a short time before they have to move again and find something to eat.

LIKE BEASTS

Like beasts, taken to be destroyed, thou dost take them away...

Quote from The Proverbs (1:17): Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.

Thinking about AirFrance flight 447 which went down hard I'm sure...228 souls...more than hard, exploding in the sky...but why?

They were not expecting anything weird or dangerous, just a relaxing flight back to France.

They did not see the danger or if they did, it was too late...I hope the investigators scrutinize and decide...We all must pray.

WITHOUT YOU

Without you the sunshine turns to rain...so quickly...but rain is good for the skin, the hydrotherapy too in the morning dew. Separated forever it seems but not, it's there, the love as it was, as it ever will be, but the presence distant in the mind, slowing or strengthening with time...like time in a bottle, you wish forever but in vain. Stop wishing. Just listen to the rain beating down on your brow.

THE SENSE OF PAIN

I HOPE SOMEONE READS THIS BELOW FROM MY 04/22/2007 weblog entry. I wanted to put this in here for the worth of it to someone out there, especially because of today's tragic killings in New York of at least 12 people who were taking a test for immigration into the United States, I'm sure some of the victims were ladies. MEN - YOU FELLAS, FOREIGN OR NOT, YOU ARE HAVING SERIOUS ISSUES AND NOT DEALING WITH THEM WELL TO SAY THE LEAST. This horrendous slaughter today in New York and other recent and even local 'incidents' here in Florida, not to mention the North Carolina and Alabama slayings. The compass of our soul has been lost MY FELLOW MEN, we are adrift, but not hopelessly. Men have to help men. God help us all. Many people are at this moment praying for the friends and families of the victims...thank God for prayer warriors. America weep again...get THE SENSE OF PAIN.

"In the aftermath of the killings at VT this past Monday, of course alot has been said about both the students and the gunman. In thinking about this, all of us, that is people of this nation who call the USA, must think about what is important in life and make sure we have our house in order. This is very difficult. We have conflicts every day and we are de-sensitized too because entertainment is blended into news like peanut butter and jelly. You make a nice sandwich and eat it, then you go on. Some reflection, contemplation and prayer is needed. We are not discerning the signs of the times and this of course was predicted by Jesus because people were the same way basically back in the days of his ministry. He said he can discern the sky when it changes and you predict the weather well, but you cannot discern the signs of the times. He was talking about people and you know times change but people don't it seems, they keep doing the same thing over and over again...ignorance, shame, fear, lassitude...keeps repeating itself. I know we all have good qualities, but on the whole we fail because we think we can go on and just crisis manage along the way. Think of women for instance in this VT rampage, a woman was the first victim that day and probably the last too, with many other young ladies in between. The rage against the female gender is as old as time, I mean spiritually speaking, from the Garden of Eden, ole devil has set his sights on women to oppress them and harass them and worse and inspire others to do the same. I wrote something on this blog before 04/16 that address this issue head on. MEN MUST STOP MEN from harming women...psychologists can't do it, doctors forget it...GUYS WE HAVE TO STAND UP TO THE DEVIL AND SAY NO!  I'm going to be thinking  of ways to get this subject up front in the minds of men. I'm tired...good night.
